WIPS ACTIVITY REPORT-2015-16

International Women’s Day is celebrated with high enthusiasm at SCI Chennai every year. This year it is celebrated on 6^th March 2015.The celebration was commenced by lighting of “Kuthuvilakku” by Regional Vice President. All employees of SCI Chennai were invited to join the inaugural function and sweets were distributed.

As a small gesture of our responsibility towards society, WIPS members of SCI Chennai contributes fixed sum of money every month for donating to some charitable trust on the occasion of Internatinal Womens Day. This year on 6^th March2015 WIPS  members visited ‘Nirmala Shishu Bhavan’ which is the institution of Missionaries’ of Charity. This institution takes care of 20 orphan boys and 45 orphan girls who are physically and mentally challenged.

On this occasion WIPS arranged for one meal of these childrens and donated  items of their personal use.We also spent time with them by sharing and interacting about their daily routine and their way of living and also assured to lend our support whenever required.
