Fron The Desk Of President-ER

Dear Friends,
In the month of February 2016 we celebrated 26th National Meet with a grand success. The theme of the meet was SKILL DEVELOPMENT. Forum of women in public sector has taken a program to give major thrust on skill development along with our National Mission Statement:-
“To rapidly scale up skill development efforts in India, by creating an end-to-end, outcome-focused implementation framework, which aligns demands of the employers for a well-trained skilled workforce with aspirations of Indian citizens for sustainable livelihoods.”
Soft skills are crucial to long-term leadership success. According to new research by the Hay Group division of Korn Ferry (NYSE: KFY), Shows Women Are Better at Using Soft Skills Crucial for Effective Leadership and Superior Business Performance.
We all know the facts that Leader should be Open and Effective Communicator, Competent, self confidence, decision maker, Dependability, Flexible with Change, Ingrained Honesty, Sense of Integrity, Motivational Skills, Directional Vision. Because from the ancient time Women are managing Home front without any failure. Good Home maker is a good manager, good investor, good leader, good administrator, good communicator and good decision maker. We will learn today from madam regarding the skill development because she is a mine of knowledge and I believe Skill development is a continual development process.

We all know Forum of women in public sector is divided into four regions. Eastern region is the biggest in size among all four. It contains 12 nos. of states: Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Jharkhand, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Orissa, Sikkim, Tripura and West Bengal. Total 69 nos. public sectors’ head quarters are here which includes PSUs, Public Banks, Public Insurance Company. Out of 69 only 21 no. are corporate members of WIPS. As our region is big our responsibility is also very large. Yes we will have to spread our network among all of them. We will have to unite all PSUs in eastern region through our network.
WIPS ER has taken action plans as below:
Connecting all PSUs (industry and banks) through corporate membership and women workforce through life membership,
Interacting with DPE through APEX
For making equal facilities to all women in all PSUs.
For providing safety and security to all women employees so that they can continue jobs.
Enhancing skill of women work force through training, seminar and workshop.
Let us join and hold our hands to walk a long way.
With love and care

President of WIPS ER
